BasketsGalore - St Patrick's Day Delivery Update

Customer Announcement – No Deliveries Within Ireland on 17th March Just a quick reminder that unfortunately there will be  no deliveries within Ireland and Northern Ireland on Monday 17th March  2014, due to the St Patrick’s Day holiday. St Patrick’s Day is a national holiday in Ireland so all businesses and schools tend to be closed, including the courier company we use for our deliveries. This means if you would like a gift basket to be delivered in time for  St Patrick's Day  you will need to  order by 3 pm on Thursday 13th March  (at the latest), so it will arrive on Friday 14th March. There are no weekend deliveries available either. Any orders placed on Friday 13th will be scheduled for delivery on Tuesday 18th, providing they have non-perishable contents. Any baskets ordered containing perishable items (such as fruit & salmon) cannot be dispatched until Tuesday 18th, for Wednesday 19th arrival. We will endeavour to email any customers who ...

After Valentine's Day we have a bit of a gap until St Patrick's Day on 17th March. We don't have to create lots of special St Patrick's Day themed baskets as the majority of our food is s...

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone! We hope all you lucky ducks with the day off enjoy yourselves. Great to see the sun shining! As well as being a public holiday in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Newfoundland and Labrador & in Montserrat, St Patricks Day is also celebrated around the world. Countries with Irish immigrants and their descendants tend to celebrate the occasion too. This includes countries such as Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea & Japan. There are many parades, parties & services around the world to celebrate Saint Patrick (c. AD 387–461), the most commonly recognised of the Patron Saints of Ireland. We love the idea of people dressed in green, eating, drinking and being merry! Apparently the original colour associated with Saint Patrick was blue! Over the years the colour green gradually grew in assocation and green ribbons and shamrocks were worn in celebration of St Patrick's Day as early as the 17th...
