Deliveries To London & Surrounding Suburbs During Olympic Games The 2012 Olympic Games began in London last week, with the opening ceremony taking place on Friday 27th July & welcoming athletes from all over the world - including Ireland! With so many events taking place in London and the surrounding areas it is going to cause traffic congestion, closed roads, security stops and therefore delays in these areas will be inevitable. From 25th July to 14th September 2012 (taking into account the Paralympic Games too) we advise allowing a bit more time for any deliveries you might want to schedule to London and the surrounding areas. At least 1 extra day in advance would be beneficial, for both standard and express services, when selecting a delivery date please. We will also endeavour to dispatch parcels a day early to affected postcodes, if ordered a few days in advance. July 12-16 th BasketsGalore's Big Move Hi Folks, Over the past few years BasketsGalore has been steadily growing (with a lot of hard work) and we have moved premises a couple of times to help improve operations & bring you the best service possible. We last moved our Headquarters in October 2007 & this July (12-16 th July 2012) we have decided to coincide our move with a public holiday to minimise disruption to our delivery service. We aren't moving far (just across town), but gift baskets, hampers, boxes and all the stock take up a lot of room so it is going to take us a while to pack up here, move everything & unpack at the other end! This means that unfortunately there will be no deliveries available on Friday 13 th July & Monday 16 th July. There will also be no deliveries to Northern Ireland on 12 th July due to the Public Holiday. Think of summer time foods, and you may think of picnic lunches, cold drinks and fresh fruit. Unfortunately our summer seems to have been & gone already!! While it was sunny we came over all fruity at BG and introduced a new range of fruit themed gift baskets. Traditionally our  fruit gifts  have consisted of a mixture of fresh fruit, biscuits or cakes to make a sweet fruit basket or fresh fruit, cheese & crackers to make a savoury fruit basket. These have proved very popular over the years, as the recipients get a mixture of a healthy & tasty fruit gift.
