At Christmas the office becomes almost as busy as Santa's workshop with the office working hard to process orders and organise delivery for every Christmas Gift Basket. During the year we have 1 or 2 people max working on different processes but at Christmas each process needs a team of people.   The different teams we need are as follows: The Retail Team  Roma & Victoria process all retail orders, from both online orders & phone orders. They also deal directly with the customers, organising if any customers would like any extra products or substitutions added to the gift basket. Baskets Galore are busy bees at Christmas time. We have to be so organised and make sure that the Christmas stock is ordered and delivered at the correct time, we also need to pre-pack non-perishable  Christmas Gift Hampers  to save time during the last few weeks of December, which is one of our busiest times of the year. This year we have been so organised we placed an order for our Christmas Jams & Chutneys in the beginning of 2014. It is a year long process to receive our order because our supplier is a micro-producer who picks the fruit themselves in the summer and then spends the autumn months making it in small batches of 20.  Our organic smoked salmon is so fresh that the earliest it can be delivered is the 17th December to ensure that it has an after Christmas shelf life. Our baked goods including mince pies and Christmas pudding are being made in small batches and delivered weekly to ensure that the stay fresh for our baskets. The bake...

Christmas is one of our busiest times of the year and to make it go smoothly we have a range of different processes that work together simultaneously. We have a number of different teams that work together on each process, if you took a look in our warehouse right now it is just like a big conveyor belt of people making, packing, wrapping and boxing baskets. Here is a breakdown of the processes, during Christmas these processes are working constantly until after the New Year. 1. We get a large delivery of baskets well in advance, these are then stacked in the warehouse and used when needed until November. 2. During November we assemble the baskets, these are ready full prepared to be used for pre-packing, they are stacked within the warehouse until they are required. 3. From the middle of November we start receiving a weekly large deliveries of non-perishable products, these products are then used for pre-packing. 4. The prepared baskets are then brou...
