May Bank Holiday - Delivery of Gifts

Well Folks I'm sure you're all looking forward to this long Bank Holiday weekend, which means the day off work for most!

We've been busy sending your gift baskets today, for delivery on Tuesday 7th May when the courier companies re-open. Any perishable baskets containing fruit & salmon etc unfortunately can't be dispatched on a Friday, as they sit in the delivery depot over the weekend & so may not arrive in peak condition. We also decided against dispatching any gifts containing soft cheese today, as there are no deliveries on Monday & so the cheese would be in transit for an extra day.

When dispatching chilled items, Monday-Thursday, we send them on an overnight delivery service & they're packaged in a chilled envelope/pocket with ice packs. These remain cold & fresh for up to 72 hours. It's also expected to be a warm weekend (fingers crossed) so this might have lessened the chilled packaging life span.

We've been in touch with any customers affected and arranged to replace any cheese products with upgraded items, or for the gift to be dispatched next week instead.

Any new orders placed from Friday evening onwards (post 3pm GMT) will be assembled & dispatched on Tuesday 7th May, when our offices re-open and the delivery company (Nightline) begin collections again. Unless of course you are ordering in advance, when you can select your preferred future delivery date in the calendar.

Wishing you all a relaxing & refreshing holiday weekend!

The BGie Team

Christmas Shopping Begins This is our 16th year of packing Christmas Hampers, the 8th Christmas in our current facility. Our hampers are distinctive because we work ever so hard throughout the year to investigate new concepts and introduce new combinations. It is our mission to extract value through efficiencies of scale and operation, so that our customers are delighted with their Gift Hampers and Baskets. This invariably attracts the attention of those who understand the difficulty of packing and producing hampers and ask us to apply our gift packing skills. October and early November are extremely busy months for us as we contract pack other organisation’s Christmas hampers so they can appear in their shops. But from this moment on, we get to test the desirability of our gift creations which we developed in March. Christmas Hamper Offers For 2019 we have more than 200 Christmas Hampers available for purchase as a gift, but truth be told, ther...

Flowers For Mum Gifts

Our most popular Gift Basket For Mum of all time has to be 'Mother's Day Flowers & Treats'. This is actually kind of amusing as it is somewhat against our original aim to be the "alternative to flowers". Instead of ignoring flowers completely, as let's face it they are still an extremely popular choice of gift, we decided to embrace them in a different manner. Rather than trying to compete with local florists who will always be able to present a more attractive bouquet than one having to travel through a delivery network, we came up with the idea of a flowering PLANT. This attractive floral plant could then accompany a smaller basket of treats to provide the end receiver the best of both worlds. Historically the 'Mother's Day Flowers & Treats' gift was pitched at a discounted, popular price point and it would be updated slightly each year for repeat Customers. The focus of the basket was on food and this was accompanied by a pretty fl...

Easter time is an example of an occasion perfect for gift baskets. You might like to create an Easter Gift for your kids & family or perhaps to sell, but how would you go about this? Read on for our top 5 tips for creating Easter Gifts Baskets. There are a number of factors to keep in mind when deciding to create an Easter Gift. 1) The Recipient(s)  - Always keep in mind who the gift basket is for & this will help with all your other choices. Is it for an individual person or a group of people?  If it is for a group of people then you will probably need to include more items. More items can obviously lead to more cost, but not necessarily  if you pick easy to share items such cake, cupcakes, chocolates & sweeties. Also what age is/are the recipient(s)? If it is for a young child then there will be certain sweets not suitable for them. Older recipients are unlikely to appreciate lots of candy or toys, unless of course they are young at heart! 2...
