May Day Holiday

Can you believe the Easter Holidays are over already! We hope you all had fun in the sun barbequing and picnicking and spending time with friends & family.! Operations at BG have returned to normal, but only for a couple of days as there are some more holidays coming up..yey!

Next Monday, 2nd May, is the May Day Bank Holiday which means the courier companies will not be collecting or delivering on this day.

This Friday 29th April is also the Royal Wedding of Prince William & Kate Middleton in London. Because of this the day has been made a UK Bank Holiday & so our courier companies will not be collecting or delivering. We copy the courier holidays so BG will be closed too.

With these holidays in mind, any orders placed on Friday & over the long weekend will be dispatched on Tuesday 3rd May.

There are still normal deliveries tomorrow - Thursday 28th & Friday 29th in Ireland, so please get in touch if you would like a Friday delivery to an address in these areas. The wee calendar at the checkout will show Friday delivery isn't an option, but that is because of the Bank Holiday in the UK. If your order is for delivery in Ireland, then simply place your order & reply to your email confirmation requesting a Friday 29th delivery (possible for orders placed before 3pm on Thursday 28th to Irish addresses)

Many thanks,
The BG Team

Hen Night Gifts Ireland

A few of us in the office were away on my hen weekend recently & it inspired us to create a new range of hen night gifts.

We had noticed people ordering pamper hampers or wine & chocolate gift baskets for hen night presents before, but until now we haven't had gifts designed especially for hen do's.

Hen Night gifts are popular to send if you are unable to make the hen night, but still want to be a part of it & show you are thinking of them.

They are also good to have as an arrival treat in your hotel room, apartment or B&B. Some companies that book hen activities or weekends, like to offer a Hen Gift Basket as an arrival gift.

Our Hen Party Gift Baskets typically include some bubbly or wine cooler drinks, sweets, crisps, snacks, nuts & lots of chocolates to share! We have also included a few cheeky accessories for the blushing bride, such as 'Bride To Be' sashes & pink fluffy L Plates! So basically everything the hens need to get the party started!

Buy Your Christmas Gift Basket Now - We are 30% Reserved Already

Although it is only the beginning of December we are already 30% reserved! We are a small family run business who have grown from nothing and our belief in only filling the gift baskets and hampers in our range with the finest and freshest products has got us to where we are today. We believe this is the reason we are so popular and have customers returning year after year… they know no matter what the price point their hamper will be bursting with only the most fresh, luxurious products which have been crafted to the highest standard.

When it comes to Christmas we must prepare months in advance. The process begins during the summer - developing new products, tweaking old favourites to keep them up to date with current trends and from looking back at previous years sales we can forecast which gift baskets and hampers will be our best sellers in order to roughly estimate how many hampers will need pre-packed in the run up to Christmas.
Throughout the year all of our gift baskets are mad…

Celebration Gifts For Her

If you are looking for an uplifting, celebratory gift for your Mum (or another important lady) then look no further as you have found the perfect range of gifts. Designed with a celebration in mind, the focal point of these Gift Baskets is the full size bottle of Prosecco for toasting the occasion.
In Italy, Prosecco is an extremely popular white wine. Outside Italy, it is most often drunk as an apĂ©ritif, much as Champagne is. As with other sparkling wines, Prosecco is served chilled.  Prosecco can be sparkling, semi-sparkling or still, with the Sparkling (Spumante) version being the most popular. Prosecco is made from Glera grapes (formerly known as Prosecco) whereas Champagne is made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Unlike Champagne, Prosecco does not ferment in the bottle, and it grows stale with time so is best drunk young! (Source: Wikipedia)
