Hampers Best Before 2010

Hello to all our customers in Ireland. Merry Christmas.

As you know our gift baskets and hampers are extremely distinctive.
Its the combination of freshly baked items, salmon and hams which sets a Basketsgalore Hamper apart from any other hamper in the European market.

So although it may sound terribly boring, we thought our customers would like to know shelf lives of some of the more perishable items.

For Hampers being dispatched today with salmon, chicken or duck, the Best Before Dates are as follows. Remember these are the earliest dates. New stock is arriving constantly which will extend these lives by several days.

Hampers with Organic Salmon 200g 31/12/2010
Hampers with Organic Salmon 500g 31/12/2010
Ummera Duck Breast 9/1/2010
Chicken Crown 3/1/2010

If your Hamper contains ham then the Best Before Date at earliest will be:

Montelieri Ham 120g 9/2/2010
Brady Family Traditional Glazed 28/2/2010
Brady Family 1/2kg Unboned Carving Ham 31/12/2010
Brady Family Traditional Sliced Ham 140g 28/12/2010
Pergola Fine Foods Salami 28/6/2010

If you are ordering a hamper or Gift Basket for delivery in the UK, Ireland or Europe and you would like to add cheese then the following BBE dates apply

Fivemiletown Selection Pack 500g 9/1/2010
Fivemiletown Individual Brie or soft Cheese 30/12/2010
Cashel Blue (Irish Stilton style Cheese) 4/1/2010
Causeway Cheese Cheddar Truckles 200g 14/1/2010
Bandon Vale Waxed Truckles 200g 2/2/2010

We've got quite a few freshly baked items which because they do not contain preservatives and are freshly baked can have quite short shelf lives. Certainly they will not have several months shelf life as you would have with a traditional fruit cake.

So if your hamper contains items such as:
Taras Chocolate Cake 400g, shelf life will be 30/12/2010
Ashers Chocolate Cakes 30/12/2010
Graces Fruit Cakes 14/1/2010
Dittys Mince Pies 30/12/2010

Throughout our christmas hamper range there are also some products which you might think have a long shelf life, but are actually quite short since they are handmade.
Skelligs chocolates for instance will have an April Best Before Date. However other chocolatiers, such as Butlers and Lindt will have at least 6 months and usually 9 months as they are bought in especially for Christmas.

There are hampers in our range, which do contain products with a long shelf life and you can email or telephone one of our sales assistants who will be able to assist you. However, the overriding theme is one of freshness and best taste, so to acquire this, the products ought to be eaten over the Christmas period.

We'll keep you up to date with delivery schedules and up to the minute news from us at Basketsgalore during December as we strive to get the best quality and value for money hampers and gift baskets delivered to your family and friends this Christmas. So whether they are in Ireland or further afield, you can be sure that the products within our hampers will be dated long enough to see them beyond Christmas Day.

Sincerely,
Neil

Hen Night Gifts Ireland

A few of us in the office were away on my hen weekend recently & it inspired us to create a new range of hen night gifts.

We had noticed people ordering pamper hampers or wine & chocolate gift baskets for hen night presents before, but until now we haven't had gifts designed especially for hen do's.

Hen Night gifts are popular to send if you are unable to make the hen night, but still want to be a part of it & show you are thinking of them.

They are also good to have as an arrival treat in your hotel room, apartment or B&B. Some companies that book hen activities or weekends, like to offer a Hen Gift Basket as an arrival gift.

Our Hen Party Gift Baskets typically include some bubbly or wine cooler drinks, sweets, crisps, snacks, nuts & lots of chocolates to share! We have also included a few cheeky accessories for the blushing bride, such as 'Bride To Be' sashes & pink fluffy L Plates! So basically everything the hens need to get the party started!

Ciséain Go Leor Customer Announcement - Covid 19

We have taken the extraordinary measure of suspending orders on our website from 11am on Saturday 28th March.  We are not closing and the facility will be manned by one of us, it is a temporary suspension of dispatches only.

We expect you have more important things to worry about, than reading an update from our little family run Gift Basket company, but we wanted to let you know, to explain why, and our plans to get back to work - serving you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The reason for this suspension are 4 fold.

1. LABOUR

It's a time intensive business at the best of times.  And with just us 3 Siblings, and 2 staff members we simply cannot process your orders quickly enough in a safe manner. We have a standby group if anything happens to us, and we of course have staff furloughed to return when things outside are safer.  But, for now, we have to rotate warehouse and office space to kee…

Chocolate Gift Delivery in Ireland

Chocolate Gifts in Ireland

Basketsgalore customers may be interested in a few new additions to our range of gift baskets within Ireland. Taking our inspiration from the recent volcanic eruption in Iceland, which caused the closure of much of Ireland's airspace for several days, we have created several chocolatey gifts.

This range of gifts all have the dark brown deep base basket, which contains chocolate brown paper to maintain the chocolate effect. The Gift leads with a really delicious Chocolate & Toffee Spread and a Chocolate Sauce. These products are new from a small producer in Ballyshiel, county Offaly and the smooth taste on the palate simply excites the taste buds. In keeping with the theme, freshly baked Rock Buns and all butter shortbread from county Antrim are included in case you want to cover them in chocolate. These biscuits are chunky and substantial, so you can really pile as much of the chocolate sauces as is possible onto them without fear of them breaking.
